A Creepy Pair of Underwear Craftivity FREEBIE!

Today I have a fun and easy craft based on a SUPER fun book by Aaron Reynolds called A Creepy Pair of Underwear.  After reading this book just ONCE with my class last year, it instantly became the class favorite, and I KNEW we had to make the project!  The illustrations by Peter Brown provided the perfect inspiration.  We are providing the master and instructions free for you today at the end of this post.  I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

If you are unfamiliar with this fun book, you can read the synopsis here on Amazon, where you can also purchase the book.  Another great book to go with it is Creepy Carrots, by the same author and illustrator.  Both are instant Halloween classics, in my opinion!  Don't miss them!

My teammate Jeff Pang is super creative, and he adapted the design from the book to make it into a craft that would be simple enough for the children to make into their own little Creepy Pair of Underwear!  So kudos to Jeff!  He seems to be able to make a fun craft out of pretty much anything!

After he came up with the design, I drew the underwear on my computer using Adobe Illustrator, which is my general go to method for drawing simple clip art and other pictures that I need in the classroom.  It works!

I am including the download for you here with all the instructions and the template!

It even worked VIRTUALLY! We sent home all the supplies in their Distance Learning Packet for Fall Week 8 and made these over Zoom. It was a HIT! :)

One of my student's Halloween costumes incorporated the craft. It’s a washing machine! Note the creepy underwear in the window! LOL!

I hope you can get your hands on this book and make time for this project! We are going to make some Creepy Carrots, too!  Click here to check them out!

P.S. Don't forget all our videos are available to STREAM on UScreen, FREE for the first 30 days! It's an awesome way to bring some EASY, active learning to your students during this time, and they can always cancel right before they are ever charged, like on day 29!
