New! Handmotion Posters to Supplement the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Program!
Today I am happy to announce that I have FINALLY finished up a complete collection of ALL of the hand motion posters to supplement the Michael Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Program! If you have been trying to implement this wonderful phonemic awareness program, but are having trouble interpreting and remembering the motions that are described within the book, then this is great news! Naturally, these movements could be used with ANY phonemic awareness program, because when the body moves, the brain remembers. Right?
Our set of Handmotion Posters to Supplement the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Program includes posters for nine different skills:
Posters are included in both color and black and white, and in large and small formats, for a total of 30 pages of posters.
I have also included several pages of instructions and tips for using the Heggerty Program successfully. They're available on my Teachers Pay Teachers store, here! And on HeidiSongs.com here! Of course, the Heggerty Program itself is the most important thing, and I highly recommend it. The Heggerty program has assessments, videos of the handmotions, and so many other resources! The only thing that I haven't see that I think would be helpful is illustrations of the motions, and that is what I have put together here for those that might need it.
Here are some highlights!
This is the full size Supplemental Heggerty Handmotion poster for Deleting Phonemes, Syllables, or Word Parts.
Here are the small size Supplemental Heggerty Handmotion posters in color for Rhyming, Beginning Sounds, and Ending sounds.
Here are the small size posters in Handmotion Posters in black and white to Supplement the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Program, including Substituting Phonemes, Phoneme Blending, Segmenting Words.
If you are unfamiliar with the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Program, you can see a recent video of me giving a lesson in a video right here. There are also two more videos from two years ago below!
